A secret hidden in plain sight at a Birkenhead cabaret club with a link to the Titanic
Dawpool Hall was built in the 1880s for shipping magnate Thomas Henry Ismay and demolished in 1927. He was the founder of the White Star Line which eventually built the famed Titanic ocean liner. When the house was demolished some of its interior fittings were salvaged. The Kingsland cabaret club and restaurant in Birkenhead had a surprising link.
